On June 10, 2020 the Board of Selectmen acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority proposed the following:
“Whereas the current sewer user fees are a flat fee of $255.00 and $4.10 CCF for water usage above 40.08 CCF. The Board of Selectmen acting as the WPCA propose that effective July 1, 2020 that each residential sewer user is to be charged a fixed sewer use charge of $300.00 for the billing period of 7/1/2020 – 6/30/2021”.
“Additionally, each commercial/industrial sewer user is to be charged a minimum sewer use charge of $300.00 for the billing period of 7/1/2020 – 6/30/2021 for water usage up to 40.08 CCF. All water usage above 40.08 CCF is to be charged at a rate of $5.15/CCF for the billing period 7/1/2020 – 6/30/2021. All rates are to remain in effect until amended”.
There will be a Virtual Public Hearing held at Town Hall on these proposed rates on June 24, 2020 at 6:15 pm. The Board of Selectmen acting as the WPCA will take action on the proposed rates subsequent to the Hearing.
