ASSISTANT MECHANIC
The Town of East Granby is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time Assistant Mechanic position for the Department of Public Works. Under general supervision, this position performs maintenance and repair of the Town’s fleet, including heavy and light equipment (both diesel and gasoline powered), small motors, vehicles, and machinery. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, assisting in major repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Must be a High School graduate and hold a valid Connecticut Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake or be able to obtain one within one year employment. ASE Master Mechanics Automotive Certification preferred.
