News From The RCc

The used oil tank was contaminated with PCB and has been removed.

PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) is a class of toxic compounds, often formed as waste in industrial processes.

It is odorless and colorless, and cannot be detected by looking at it. When the used oil is drained, it is tested to make sure there are no contaminants.

There was PCB found in our oil which required DEEP to come out and Environmental Services to drain, clean and dispose of the oil and tank.

There was a significant cost to remediate this situation.  There is no tank currently at the RCC.
