The Board of Assessment Appeals will meet March 10, 2020, 6 pm to 9 pm, for the purpose of hearing appeals from individuals or organizations claiming to be aggrieved by the actions of the town Assessor on the 2019 Grand List.

Appeals are heard by appointment only.  Appeals must be submitted in writing on a prescribed form available from the Assessor’s Office.  This form must be physically in the Assessor’s Office by the close of business, 4:00 pm, February 20, 2020.  Please call the Assessor’s Office to be sure the form has been received if it was mailed.  Neither the Assessor’s Office nor the Board of Assessment Appeals is responsible for forms that are lost or delayed in the mail.

Taxpayers who have filed a written appeal will be notified by March 1, 2020 of the date, time, and place of their hearing.  Notification will be mailed.  Call the Assessor’s Office at 860-653-2852 if you need further information or do not receive a hearing date.
